Congratulations to Ellen Degeneres, not only for being just married, but also for landing a new deal with CoverGirl. She will be the face of the new make-up line for this brand-name cosmetic corporation. It has been reported that CoverGirl will be dishing out over $1 million for Ellen to use her smiling face to market their new line.
Ellen will be joining famous CoverGirls like Christie Brinkley, Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Rihanna, and Drew Barrymore. It is very awesome that Ellen, an out lesbian, will be the face of a major company like CoverGirl. This perfect-skinned woman had really been a fantastic model for women and girls as a famous out lesbian in the media. She has really paved the way towards acceptance, not just in celeb-world, but from everyone. Again, Congrats to this easy, breezy, LezzyGirl!

A couple of enterprising men from Austin, Texas, have created a deck of playing cards featuring hypocritical Republicans “caught in the act”. Cards feature Larry Craig, Ted Haggard, Mark Foley and others. Each one was caught up in a gay scandal and each has made anti gay statements or voted against pro-gay legislation. “These professional grade, poker size playing cards take a peek into the dark corners of the Grand Ole Party. Featuring a plethora of politicians who got caught playing pitcher for the wrong team, allegedly.” Check out their website and buy a set of cards here: Gay Republican Cards
Soldier’s Girl They Didn't Know How Dangerous Love Could Be
Based On A True Story Director: Frank Pierson / Starring: Troy Garity / Lee Pace / Andre Braugher / Shawn Hatosy / Rated: R / Review by: Leon Velasco / Rating: THUMBS UP
I wouldn’t get tired of watching this movie. It was so well written and played out. The viewer needs to open up their mind and disregard the obvious and place their own players into each character. For me it’s easy to see myself as the nightclub performer, (as cross dresser, not transgender). Or I can just place myself in her shoes as a victim of lost love, (if you remember the shooting back at the old location of, The Express, that left one young man dead in the alley across the way thanksgiving eve). I forever think of Mitch each year, and I fall victim to depression and lonesomeness and it borders gratefulness that I wasn’t there like we had planned; all due to me not finding someone to watch over my daughter that night for me to be with Mitch. (Yes, I am a single gay father; my daughter is now 18). They never did find Mitch’s killers; like I knew Fresno Police Department never does in “Gay” cases. This is how relate to this story; and the ending always brings me out of my slump because I envision myself being just as strong willed as the character to keep going.
