Gay Fresno

Almost exactly two years to the day (September 26, 2005) that the local gay club the North Tower Circle was destroyed at the hands of an an arsonist, the landmark Fresno nightclub was struck again.

Around 4:30AM on Tuesday, September 25^th, 2007, an arsonist set a motor home, parked in the back lot of the club, on fire. The blaze completely destroyed the motor home and then spread into the adjacent club. Witnesses reported seeing someone in the parking lot just prior to the fire and notified the authorities. With quick response from the Fresno Fire Department, damage to the building was isolated to back rooms in the rear of the club. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Fresno authorities. We’ll provide updates as they are available.

	Circle Fire That kind of stuff angers me. Why someone can hate someone or a group simply because of their choice to love the same sex. It has never made sense to me the hate that one can instill upon another till I read about this second fire. My appolgies go out to Virgil and hopefully as a community we can step up and get this wonderful place rebuilt!!!!

	the fire I know that Virgil was struggling to get the Circle reopened, and this must be a terrible setback. I extend Virgil my deepest sympathy. If this was a hate crime, then any other gay businesses are vulnerable. http://denfresno.com

	Circle Fire Sadly I am going to assume that Fresno will lose this bar forever...I know it was a favorite place to gather and the owner (Virgil) made it available to the entire community for fund raisers and events....it will be missed.
