The largest study of it’s kind is currently underway to seek answers to what role genetics play in homosexuality. While scientists suspect that more than one gene is involved in the process, finding one with a significant contribution would be groundbreaking. Critics point out that if the genetic roots of homosexuality are discovered, that information could be used in the future to try to “cure” homosexuality.
